History
Since Fall 2010, NorthCreek Church has hosted the NorthCreek Counseling Training (NCT) Conference to equip people to counsel and disciple others using the Bible. The conference has grown significantly from 150 attendees in 2010 to over 750 from 100+ churches in Northern California in recent years, positively impacting the region by enhancing participants' ability to minister the Word of God.
Purpose
The NCT Conference aims to help all Christians, including pastors and lay leaders, improve their skills and confidence in personal ministry. Emphasizing the sufficiency of Scripture for salvation and sanctification, the conference features engaging speakers addressing nearly 100 topics annually, such as grief, anxiety, depression, and conflict resolution. The solutions offered are Christ-centered, focusing on His love, compassion, and wisdom.
Not Just For Counselors
Contrary to the misconception that the NCT is only for pastors and experts, it is suitable for any believer, including college students and above, who wishes to help others using biblical principles.
