General Information

It’s that time of year where we look forward to deep breaths of fresh mountain air, warming up a crisp fall morning with a treat from the coffee shop and realizing the weekend away to recharge was just what was needed. Join us for our annual weekend away at beautiful Mt. Hermon in Santa Cruz!

Our theme this year is “Whom shall I fear?  The freedom that comes from fearing God”. Together we will see how our fear of man truly ensnares us, and how the fear of God sets us free. Through the prayerful study of God’s word, several women from our church body will lead us to a deeper understanding of how to apply these truths.

The tradition will continue at retreat as we host a Basket Raffle to benefit Safe Refuge for Children and Families. (https://saferefugecf.org/)  Come prepared to join in the fun by purchasing inexpensive raffle tickets or donate a basket to help raise monies for this worthy non-profit charity.  If you would like to donate a themed basket for the raffle, email us at  .  

Financial Assistance
If you are in need of financial help in order to attend Women’s Retreat and an attender of NorthCreek Church, please pick up a Women’s Ministries Financial Assistance form from church office or at the retreat information tables on August 25 or September 8. Turn in completed forms to the church office or Sue Miller by Sept 15th.

Fitness Center
A small fully equipped Fitness Center is available to registered guests. It is located on the lower level of the Youth Memorial building. Guests are asked to wear their name tag.
Hours: 5:30 a.m. – 11 p.m.

Mount Hermon Outdoor Activities (Saturday afternoon)
A Redwood Canopy tour is available to enjoy for a special price of $60. The course last for 2.5 hours. This is relaxing zipline adventure through the Mount Hermon Redwoods. Guest codes for the $60 Redwood Canopy Tour: mhaguestrct1819

Sequoia Adventure Course special rate is $40. This ropes course is for the more adventurous women. Retreat Dining
• All meals are served buffet style.
• Menus are pre-established by our Food Service Manager.
• All meals include an appropriate beverage.

Special Dietary Needs
If you are under any specific dietary restrictions, please make your request known upon registration in the "About You" section and complete the form referenced in your confirmation email. The kitchen will be notified of your special request. Due 2 weeks prior to retreat.

Additional Information

When Should I arrive?  Mount Hermon is a beautiful conference center located near Santa Cruz. Plan for a 1 ½ hour drive if you are able to leave before 2 p.m.; if you leave later in the afternoon, it will take longer due to traffic.

Registration begins at 5 p.m. and runs until 6 p.m. You can arrive earlier, but you will not be able to check into your room until 5 p.m. Please let our Registration Team know in advance if you anticipate a late arrival. We will make arrangements for a late check-in.

A pre-conference session will begin at 6 p.m. Dinner on the first night is at 7 p.m. A hospitality suite will be open at 4 p.m. in the Brookside Room with snacks. There are plenty of places to shop and fun things to do in the area if you want to make a day of it in Santa Cruz before the retreat. Please be aware that the first session, at 6 p.m., will have important announcements for the rest of the weekend. We pray your schedule will allow you to arrive on time.

If your GPS does not recognize the address, try using Felton, CA 95041. 

From the San Francisco Bay Area: Take any major route south (280, 101, 17/880, or 680) to Highway 17/880 South towards Santa Cruz. Go over the mountains on 17 South to the first exit past Scott’s Valley marked, “Mount Hermon Rd.” From the exit, turn right onto Mount Hermon Road. Proceed west on Mount Hermon Road for 3 ½ miles to the stop light at Graham Hill Road. Turn left onto Graham Hill Road. Go one long block and turn left onto Conference Drive. Proceed 1/3 of a mile. Temporary parking (20 minute) is available in front of the US Post Office.

Walk across the street and past Mount Hermon’s Bookstore. To your left you will see the large dining hall and multi-purpose room. Registration will be in the Fireside Room on the right side of that building. Limited parking is available adjacent to most units, otherwise, please use the large parking lot located on Conference Drive, just past the Post Office and Administration Center. If you need further help with directions, please call the Mount Hermon office at (831) 335-4466. 


Mt. Hermon Conference Center offers FIVE types of accommodations (two tiers in economy). The listed price is per person and includes six meals along with your two-night stay.

Please sign up as early as possible as there are limited accommodations in each tier. Financial aid is approved for dormitory accommodations only. 

Descriptions of Accommodations:

Dormitory: $200 / 11th-12th Grade $100
Smaller rooms with two single beds, a closet and sink. Linens included (sheets & towels), hand soap provided; make your own bed upon arrival.  One larger bathroom across the hall with several shower stalls to be shared with up to 10 women. These accommodations are like a college dorm living situation.  
(2 per room)

Economy: $220 / 11th-12th Grade $110
These rooms are smaller, more basic accommodations typically with three women in each room. Linens included (sheets & towels), private baths, hand soap provided; make your own bed upon arrival. Each room has either two queen beds OR a queen bed & and twin beds. (3 per room)  

Economy Plus: $245 / 11th-12th Grade $120
Cozy little accommodations and decor, linens included (sheets & towels), private baths, hand soap provided; make your own bed upon arrival. (2-4 per room/cabin)

Standard: $285 / 11th-12th Grade $130
Several newly remodeled rooms and cabins that include many of the comforts of a Deluxe accommodation.  All linens included (sheets and towels), private baths, hand soap provided.  Beds are pre-made upon arrival, upgraded furnishings and decor.  
(2-6 per room/cabin) 

Deluxe: $325 / 11th-12th Grade $140
Mount Hermon's best accommodations 
All linens included (sheets and towels), private baths, hand soap provided, beds are pre-made upon arrival, upgraded furnishings and decor, and larger, more spacious rooms.

What to Pack

*Your Bible and a pen. A retreat booklet will be provided with space to take notes during each session. If you enjoy journaling, bring a journal for additional writing space.

*Small bag to carry your Bible and extra items

*Reusable bottle for water

*“To Go” coffee/tea mug for after meals

*Small flashlight

*Jacket for chilly mornings and cool nights

*Ear plugs for a quiet night’s sleep :)

*Workout clothes and tennis shoes for the gym, volleyball or exercise outdoors

*Extra cash or your checkbook to purchase Safe Refuge for Children and Families Basket Raffle Tickets (2 for $1), Mount Hermon soda fountain goodies, or any extra shopping during your free time.

*Address labels or a name stamp for raffle tickets. This is a great suggestion IF you don’t want to have to write your name on ALL the raffle tickets you purchase.

(Sheets, blankets, pillows, and bath towels are provided in ALL accommodations.)


Safe Refuge for Children and Families is a NorthCreek supported organization serving the Bay Area since 2005. Many families within NorthCreek have offered their homes as sanctuaries to at risk children, minimizing their potential abuse or neglect through keeping them out of crisis. The ultimate goal of Safe Families is to strengthen and support biological parents by walking alongside these families during this time of crisis.

By purchasing inexpensive raffle tickets, we get a chance to make a difference in the lives of children and their families in the Bay Area. The raffle takes place on Saturday night with all money donated to Safe Refuge for Children and Families. Tickets are only 2 for $1!
