Matt R. and his wife moved to the Bay Area in 2012 and joined the church that same year.  They have been married since 2004 and have three children.  Matt joined the elder board in 2021 and oversees the ministerial staff of the church as well as a variety of ministries including the Rooted Lifestage, NorthCreek Academy and Preschool, and the teaching corp.  Matt earned his M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine and continued to practice emergency medicine part-time. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, sports, and writing nonfiction.
